Based in Germany, Moemmur Shahzad better known as Maxhym is a producer and DJ whose sound is defined by the concept of “Duality,” embodying both light and dark aspects of electronic music. Specializing in Melodic Techno, Melodic House, Trance, and House, Maxhym crafts immersive experiences that transport listeners through contrasting emotional landscapes. His music often fuses genres, incorporating experimental elements that push the boundaries of sound, creating dynamic and unpredictable tracks.
Driven by a passion for musical freedom, Maxhym believes in breaking away from convention, blending atmospheric depths with euphoric highs, and creating a sonic narrative that resonates with intensity and emotion. Whether on the dancefloor or through his releases, Maxhym invites listeners to explore the full range of electronic music, where contrasts meet and boundaries dissolve.
How my life changed?
My journey from data science to electronic music was as unexpected as it was transformative. Starting out as a Data Scientist working in AI, I was drawn to the patterns and logic that structured our world. But alongside my career, I felt a pull toward something more expressive, something beyond the confines of code. Music production started as a hobby, a way to experiment creatively outside the bounds of data.
What I didn’t anticipate was how deeply music would reshape my life. Producing sounds, blending genres, and pushing boundaries soon went from pastime to passion. As I dove deeper into electronic music, I developed a concept called “Duality,” reflecting both dark, immersive landscapes and bright, uplifting rhythms. Embracing this “Duality” felt like tapping into an emotional freedom I hadn’t found in any other field. What began as a creative escape ultimately became my professional path, and today, music is not just something I create—it’s where I find myself.
